Harfustra Lover Had the best Harfustra ever in a Chapel Hill cafe. Nothing has bested it yet. Like a good addict I continue, however, to chase that dragon.

I read an article today that said, "the amount of serendipity in your life is a function of your sample size; find ways to increase your 'n'". So, this is me increasing my 'n'.

I am well versed in theory but have a yen for practice. I'm building a career as a researcher and scholar. While I'm in the building frame of mind I thought it an opportune time to also build a personal life.

I'm knee-deep in a PhD program at the moment thus the atrophied personal life. But, I am really good at aping normal, pre-graduate school behavior! I promise. I can shoot pool, mingle at dinner parties, make small talk with new friends, and I don't eat with my elbows on the table.

I don't know if anyone knows exactly what they want in a relationship. It is probably far easier to discuss what one does not want but then this whole sales job gets mired in negativity.

I know for sure that I like to laugh. I'll even take being laughed at on occasion in the interest of keeping a good joke alive. Sharing a passion or being willing to discover one we can both share sounds nice.

In exchange for being a decent human being who doesn't kick animals or steal from children I promise to indulge your rantings in direct proportion to how well you indulge mine. Conversation that spans the sublime to the ridiculous really gets my motor humming.

When I'm not researching, reading, or teaching I am practicing yoga, watching The Office, and downloading everything from country and rock to hip-hop on my iPod.
